Details — BioCompact® C Series
The BioCompact® C wastewater treatment systems (picture BioCompact C) are designed to handle sewage for populations of up to 5,000 people depending on the model (models C500 – C5000). They are scaled-down versions of the activated sludge process used by state-of-the-art large municipal wastewater treatment plants, and bridge the gap between the container-style package wastewater treatment plants and large-scale municipal systems.
The BioCompact® C series models are in-ground basins, often in the form of open basins of cast in place concrete. For Northern climates, the tanks are covered, and have hinged lids with access manholes at ground level. The installed and leveled unit is supported and surrounded by backfill. As an in-ground installation, the BioCompact® C units typically do not require insulation against heat or cold, depending on climate conditions. The wastewater flow is by gravity, but certain topographical conditions may require external pumps.
The BioCompact® units are simple, relatively maintenance-free and operate under the ControLogic™ system that allows for instantaneous automatic monitoring of the unit’s performance. The ControLogic™ electronic monitoring device provides instant access to BioCompact® performance data allowing spot checks of treatment efficiency, pH balance, aeration efficiencies and temperature readings.
